Once the College Football season wraps up, fans quickly shift their focus to the next one. During the offseason, several events keep the excitement alive, including National Signing Day, the Transfer Portal, the NFL Draft process, Winter Workouts, and Spring Practices. But nothing stirs up anticipation for the new season quite like the Annual Spring Game.
The Spring Game features the team going head-to-head in an intra-squad scrimmage, with players competing for playing time. Though it’s just a scrimmage, the intensity is high—strong performances can improve a player’s chances of earning more minutes, while those who aren’t satisfied with their spot on the depth chart might look to the Transfer Portal.
This year’s Spring Game promises to be more thrilling than most, only rivaled by Brian Kelly’s inaugural Spring Game. LSU’s roster has been boosted by an impressive transfer class that has raised the team’s overall talent. The Tigers have also signed one of the top recruiting classes in the nation, injecting fresh talent into the roster.
LSU has officially announced that its 2025 Spring Game will take place on April 12th at Tiger Stadium.
Fans excited to see a revamped secondary will have the chance to watch newcomers DJ Pickett, Mansoor Delane, Ja’Keem Jackson, and Tamarcus Cooley. They’ll be tested by talented wide receivers like Aaron Anderson, Nic Anderson, Barion Brown, Chris Hilton, and Destyn Hill, among others.
The new offensive line, which will feature four new starters, will have its first opportunity to come together in a game-like setting before the season opener at Clemson. They’ll go up against a defensive line that’s brimming with young talent and has added players like Jimari Butler, Patrick Payton, Sydir Mitchell, and Jack Pyburn.
This year’s Spring Game is set to be one of the most exciting in recent memory, and the atmosphere on campus will be electric.
