Patrick Mahomes’ Dad Throws Shade at Bills Fans After AFC Championship

The war of words between the Mahomes family and the Bills Mafia shows no signs of calming down. Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, rushed to social media to celebrate mere hours after the Chiefs upset the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, January 26. On January 27, Mahomes Sr. remarked, “Today is a great day to not be from Buffalo…,” via X. Naturally, the responses to Mahomes Sr.’s statement were negative, with many Bills supporters citing his many drunk driving offenses. Mahomes Sr. received a 10-day jail sentence in October 2024 after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated in February.

Mahomes Sr. attended Sunday’s AFC Championship game to see his son in person. Following the game, he was photographed with the Chiefs star on the field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, together with Mahomes Sr.’s ex-wife, Randi Mahomes, his younger son, Jackson Mahomes, and his daughter-in-law, Brittany.

Randi’s daughter, Mia, from another relationship, joined the group after her divorce from Mahomes Sr. in 2006. “All glory to God for this incredible opportunity to witness history in the making,” Randi captioned the family snapshot on Instagram on Monday. “So grateful to watch you pour your heart into what you love, son!” Mahomes Sr.’s social media dig came after Brittany, 29, expressed her own frustrations to the Bills fan base. Brittany posted a photo on her Instagram Story showing a Kermit the Frog doll wearing a No. 15 Mahomes jersey hanging on a pole, probably arranged by Bills supporters.

“Do we recall this Buffalo? She wrote, “Absolutely disgusting.” “So as you go home tonight, I pray we become better people.” Brittany was able to celebrate the Chiefs’ triumph on Sunday with her friend Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift, 35, was captured on tape thanking Brittany for her support during the playoffs. “You kept me so calm the last couple of weeks,” Swift told her. “I didn’t know what to do,” Swift explained. “I was like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.” The Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, February.
