Alabama football has secured an official visit from one of the top prospects in the 2026 recruiting class.
Five-star offensive lineman, from University Lab High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is set to visit the Crimson Tide during the weekend of May 30, according to a report by On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
Top star is ranked as the No. 1 player in Louisiana and the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Known for his versatility, Brown is being pursued by programs to play on both sides of the ball. While most scouts project him as a long-term interior offensive lineman, others believe he has the potential to excel as a defensive tackle at the next level.
Brown’s recruitment is expected to be highly competitive. Programs like Georgia and Texas A&M are making strong efforts to secure him, but prying him away from LSU, located just across the street from his high school, will be a significant challenge.
Alabama has a history of recruiting success at University Lab, with Nick Saban previously landing standout players such as Tim Williams, Dylan Moses, and Christian Harris from the school. Saban also achieved major recruiting victories in Louisiana, bringing in stars like Landon Collins, Cam Robinson, and Eddie Lacy during his tenure.
However, Kalen DeBoer, Alabama’s current head coach, has yet to prove his recruiting prowess in Louisiana. His first class at Alabama did not include any players from the state. Securing Brown would be a significant statement for DeBoer, demonstrating his ability to compete with top programs and win major battles in their home territory.
