The three 2024 Auburn quarterbacks who used the transfer site have all found new homes.
Holden Geriner informed On3 that he will be going to Texas State.
Geriner played three seasons at Auburn but never started. During his Auburn career, he completed nine of 20 passes for 116 yards and one interception. During the 2024 season, he had two appearances, both coming in late versus Alabama A&M and New Mexico.
It is not the first time an Auburn quarterback has transferred to Texas State; TJ Finley did it following the 2022 season. Finley passed for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns during his one season at Texas State, both career highs.
Auburn filled the quarterback void by signing five-star freshman Deuce Knight and bringing in Jackson Arnold and Ashton Daniels from the transfer portal. Tanner Bailey, a former South Carolina quarterback who had retired from sports, was also recently added to the Tigers’ roster.
