BREAKING: Dolphins Receive Mind-blowing Update Regarding Chop Robinson

Following his selection to the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie team earlier this week, Miami Dolphins first-year pass rusher Chop Robinson has been selected a finalist for the Associated Press (AP) Defensive Rookie of the Year award.

Robinson joins a star-studded roster of five nominees, including Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Braden Fiske and pass rusher Jared Verse, as well as Philadelphia Eagles defensive backs Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell.

Following a poor start to the season, Robinson turned it on in the second half of 2024, with six sacks, eight tackles for loss, and four passes defensed.

Robinson’s rapid development can be credited to the additional workload he experienced as a result of the injuries to fellow linebackers Bradley Chubb (who missed the whole season) and Jaelan Phillips (who damaged his ACL in week four and was placed on season-ending injured reserve).

If the Dolphins keep Chubb, a trio of him, Phillips, and Robinson would terrorize opposing quarterbacks across the Dolphins’ 2025 schedule, but with Chubb set to earn more than $20 million in cash for the upcoming season, that scenario may not be feasible for a cap-strapped team like Miami.

Regardless, Dolphins fans should be encouraged by Robinson’s outstanding rookie season, which has landed him on numerous award lists. The winners of the AP NFL Awards will be announced at NFL Honors on February 6.
