The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 12-win season, marking the third time in franchise history they have recorded three straight years with double-digit victories. However, their season ended in disappointment with a narrow 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round.
This offseason, the Bills parted ways with veteran star, who had signed a six-year, $120 million contract just three years ago. The NFL’s active leader in sacks with 129.5, struggled in Buffalo, tallying just 14 sacks over three seasons due to injuries and limited playing time. Over the past two years, he played only 33% of defensive snaps, failing to register a sack in 2023. However, he bounced back in 2024 with six sacks, with seven of his 17 tackles going for a loss.
Sports Illustrated’s Jarrett Bailey recently identified three free agents the Ravens could target, including top veteran. Bailey noted that Baltimore has a history of adding veteran defenders, especially in the front seven. While he may not be suited for an every-down role, he could be a valuable situational pass rusher, much like a closer in baseball.

If signed, Miller would join one of the NFL’s most effective pass-rushing units, as the Ravens ranked second in sacks last season with 54. The team’s top pass rusher, Kyle Van Noy, recorded 12.5 sacks, but at 34 years old, it’s uncertain if he can replicate that production. Odafe Oweh, another key contributor, doubled his previous career-high sack total in 2024, but his ability to sustain that level of play remains uncertain.
A two-time Super Bowl champion and former Super Bowl MVP, Miller could provide valuable depth and experience as a rotational edge rusher for Baltimore’s defense.
