In the aftermath of Washington’s highly anticipated Junior Day recruiting event, the Huskies secured commitments from two class of 2026 prospects. Cornerbacks Ksani Jiles and Elijah Durr committed to Washington, increasing the class total to six recruits as the team approaches Spring practice.
The day after Washington’s recruiting event, Jiles announced his commitment on social media. He was among approximately 40 recruits visiting campus during the March 8th weekend. Jiles had previously visited Washington for the UCLA game in November and received an offer from head coach Jedd Fisch in February 2024. At the time, Jiles was committed to Miami (FL), but just two days after receiving the Washington offer, he decommitted from the Hurricanes and reopened his recruitment. Now, he has officially pledged to the Huskies.
Originally from Southern California, Jiles currently plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, one of the nation’s premier high school football programs. Standing at 6’0”, he is a physical cornerback with strong instincts in coverage. His ability to quickly recognize short routes and running plays allows him to react decisively and make key stops. Jiles’ physical style of play makes him a candidate for both slot and outside cornerback positions. The three-star recruit ranks inside the top 75 at his position nationally and is one of two cornerbacks committed to Washington in the 2026 class.

Durr Commits to Washington
The Huskies’ second cornerback commitment came from Durr, who also attended Washington’s Junior Day. Just two days after the event, he announced his decision on social media. A three-star recruit from Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Washington, Durr is ranked as the seventh-best player in the state by 247Sports and is among the top 70 cornerbacks nationally. Washington extended an offer to him last June, competing against programs like Cal, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
Durr is a versatile two-way player, excelling as both a cornerback and wide receiver in high school. As a junior, he recorded five pass breakups, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries on defense, while also contributing eight receiving touchdowns and 445 yards on 26 receptions. At 6’1”, his combination of size and athleticism makes him a key addition to Washington’s 2026 class, where he currently stands as the third-highest-rated commit and the third in-state pledge.
