Earlier this month, Roc Bellantoni was officially named the outside linebackers coach for Auburn’s football program, following a series of staffing changes this offseason as coaches moved on to other opportunities.
Bellantoni, who previously worked at Auburn under Bryan Harsin’s staff, spent the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic. Upon his return to Auburn, Bellantoni quickly dove into recruiting, reaching out to 4-star linebacker Jordan Campbell.
Campbell, a linebacker from Opa Locka, Florida, is ranked as the No. 4 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 overall prospect from Florida. Although he committed to Miami in November 2023, Campbell has kept his recruitment open.
On his second visit to Auburn, Campbell toured the facilities and discussed his potential fit in the Tigers’ defense. He also has upcoming visits planned for Alabama and Georgia.
“When Coach Bellantoni first got the job, we talked about me coming up there, watching my film, and everything. That means a lot to me,” Campbell said, according to Auburn Rivals. “It shows they’re really interested in me and believe in my abilities as a football player.”
The highlight of Campbell’s visit was learning about the defense he could be a part of at Auburn.
“My favorite part was learning how they can help me develop physically, like how they can change my body in one year,” Campbell said. “They showed me their schemes, which I’m comfortable with. They run a 3-4 defense, and I play in a 3-3-5. They’re a multiple defense team, which I’m used to.”
Campbell also mentioned the possibility of visiting Auburn again during the Tigers’ big Junior Day event next weekend.
