Just In: NBA Drops Bombshell on Flagrant Foul in Warriors-Kings

The Golden State Warriors continued their impressive run with a dominant win over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, pushing their streak to 13 wins in their last 15 games. The 26-point victory over their Northern California rival was a statement performance.

Next up, the Warriors will face the New York Knicks in a cross-conference showdown on Saturday. However, ahead of that game, the NBA handed down an unexpected ruling.

Following a review of Thursday’s matchup, the league has issued Warriors forward Moses Moody a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1.

Early in the second half, just a minute in, Moses Moody accidentally kicked Kings forward Keegan Murray in the face while raising his leg. Although no foul was called during the game, the NBA later reviewed the play and assessed Moody with a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1.

Despite the incident, Moody had a strong showing against Sacramento, finishing with 17 points and 6 assists while shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range. However, the postgame flagrant foul ruling somewhat takes the shine off what was otherwise a standout performance.

Moody has been a key contributor for the Warriors lately, starting in each of their last 12 games and proving to be a reliable two-way player. Over that stretch, he’s averaging 12.7 points per game while shooting an impressive 43.6% from three-point range.

With a crucial showdown against the Knicks looming on Saturday night, Moody will need to set aside the flagrant foul ruling and stay locked in on helping Golden State continue their hot streak.
