Baltimore Ravens: Announce Key Player Returning in 2025

Baltimore Ravens star cornerback had an impressive 2024 season in the slot, earning his fourth Pro Bowl selection after missing seven games the previous year. He set career highs in interceptions and matched his 2018 total for most pass deflections in a season.

In 16 games, he recorded 67 tackles, six interceptions (including one pick-six), and 15 pass deflections. He allowed 58 receptions on 96 targets for 556 yards and three touchdowns, holding opposing quarterbacks to a 60.9 passer rating.

The Baltimore Ravens CB faced an uncertain future

Top star is entering the fourth year of his five-year, $97.5 million contract extension. He is set to earn a $14 million base salary with a $25.38 million cap hit in 2025, followed by a $15.25 million base salary and a $22.93 million cap hit in 2026.

Given that the Ravens could save $9.69 million by releasing him before June 1, many speculated that Humphrey might be a cap casualty this offseason.

According to Brian McFarland, the Ravens restructured Marlon Humphrey’s contract by converting $16.745 million of his base salary into a signing bonus and adding two void years. This move freed up $13.396 million in cap space.

As a result, Humphrey’s 2025 base salary drops from $18 million to the league minimum of $1.255 million, while his cap hit decreases from $25.38 million to $11.73 million. The $16.745 million signing bonus will be evenly spread over the next five years, adding $3.349 million per year to the cap.
