After their 2025 playoff run ended, it was evident the Buffalo Bills needed to improve their passing game to finally overcome the Kansas City Chiefs. While this offseason hasn’t featured many elite receivers in free agency, Buffalo still made a key addition to start the new league year.
The Bills agreed to a three-year deal worth over $36 million with former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver, securing him as a key piece of their offense. A third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, he has been a reliable target throughout his time in Los Angeles, tallying 182 receptions and over 10 touchdowns across four seasons. Last year, the 25-year-old Canadian native recorded 39 catches for more than 500 yards and one touchdown, though his production dipped due to the Chargers’ offensive transition under Jim Harbaugh.

Buffalo’s receiving corps already includes Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir, who recently signed a lucrative four-year extension. However, the Bills needed a true deep threat to complement Coleman, and Palmer fits that role perfectly.
As long as Josh Allen is leading the offense, Buffalo should remain confident in its ability to field an elite passing attack.
