Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen made history on Sunday by signing a groundbreaking six-year contract extension worth $330 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal includes a record $250 million in guaranteed money—the most ever for an NFL player. Allen has enjoyed an eventful few months both on and off the field, recently winning his first NFL MVP award and getting engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld. His new contract ensures he remains with the Bills through the 2030-2031 season. Meanwhile, Buffalo Sabres fans have taken to social media, urging Allen to buy the team.
Ironically, the same owners of the Bills—Terry and Kim Pegula—also own the Sabres. However, that hasn’t stopped countless fans from urging Allen to buy their beloved NHL team.
“Sell Josh Allen the Sabres,” posted @DuffyOnWCMF on X. Similarly, @Sabrestalkv2 wrote, “Josh Allen is one step closer to buying the Sabres.” Buffalo sports fan and podcast host Connor Hurley also joined the conversation on X.

The Sabres currently have the worst record in the NHL’s Eastern Conference at 24-32-6, with a league-low 54 points. The team’s estimated value is around $1.1 billion. With Allen’s massive new contract, he could realistically afford to buy a minority—or even a majority—stake in the franchise.
