Breaking News: Bills Confirm to Land Three-Time All-Pro EDGE In Groundbreaking Deal

The Buffalo Bills had a strong roster in 2024, which led them to a 13-4 record, an AFC East title, and a trip to the AFC Championship Game, where they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, there was still room for improvement, particularly in their pass rush. The Bills ranked 18th in sacks (39), 11th in pressures (151), 10th in hurries (57), and 12th in quarterback knockdowns (55).

To address this, Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports projects that Buffalo will target nine-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro EDGE rusher in free agency, which begins Wednesday. Sullivan notes that while the Bills are currently about $8.6 million over the salary cap, they could still pursue a veteran like him once they sort out their finances. Although the 34-year-old is no longer in his prime, he remains a productive edge rusher who could bolster Buffalo’s defense.

He had a down year with the Los Angeles Chargers, recording six sacks, six tackles for loss, 39 tackles, and 22 pressures. However, if he can regain his 2023 form—when he posted 17.5 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 74 tackles, and 36 pressures—he could be a valuable addition for the Bills. Given that his market value is currently estimated at $23.6 million per year by Spotrac, signing him could turn out to be a bargain for Buffalo.

The Bills’ defense could also benefit significantly from adding a pass rusher like Mack, as they ranked 17th in total yards allowed per game (341.5) and tied for 11th in points allowed per game (21.6) in 2024.
