BREAKING: Vikings Officially Confirm the Signing of a Highly-Experienced New Coach

After losing Grant Udinski to the Jacksonville Jaguars a few weeks ago, the Minnesota Vikings have found his replacement on Kevin O’Connell’s coaching staff by bringing in another highly regarded up-and-coming coach.

The team has officially hired Jordan Traylor as their new assistant quarterbacks coach. Traylor has spent the last six seasons with the New Orleans Saints in various coaching roles.

A former Texas A&M quarterback, Traylor began his coaching career at the University of Texas, where he spent two years as a graduate assistant working with quarterbacks and wide receivers. He then moved to the University of Arkansas, serving as an offensive analyst and working with quarterbacks before joining the Saints.

In New Orleans, Traylor gained experience in multiple roles. He started as a scouting assistant for two seasons before transitioning to a defensive assistant role for another two years. In 2023, he switched to the offensive side, working closely with the Saints’ quarterbacks and tight ends.

Traylor comes from a football background—his father, Jeff Traylor, is the head coach at the University of Texas-San Antonio.

With this hire, the Vikings aim to maintain the high level of offensive coaching they displayed last season.
