Breaking: Done Deal!! Ravens Officially Lands an Intriguing Deal For a Top Veteran Star

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to re-sign star left tackle, which comes as no surprise. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta expressed confidence at last week’s NFL Scouting Combine that a deal would be reached, and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler echoed that sentiment.

“The sense out of Indy is that the Ravens and left tackle can agree to terms on an extension,” Fowler reported. “Some inside the league are projecting that deal to land somewhere between $21-23 million per year.”

Top star would be crucial for the Ravens as they look to maintain a strong offensive line to protect Lamar Jackson and create running lanes for Derrick Henry. However, other teams are prepared to make a push for him if he reaches free agency.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported that the New England Patriots—who have the most cap space of any team—are among those interested in Stanley.

“At the NFL Scouting Combine, one rival NFL executive said some of the buzz going around was that the Patriots would aggressively pursue veteran Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley should he make it to unrestricted free agency,” Reiss wrote.

With free agency’s legal negotiating period beginning on March 10, teams are preparing for potential bidding wars, but the Ravens seem poised to secure their franchise left tackle before then.
