Breaking News: Red Sox Confirms Blockbuster Trade For $56 Million Cy Young Pitcher

Miami Marlins ace is off to an impressive start this spring, tossing three scoreless innings across two outings. Even more encouraging, the former Cy Young Award winner has been consistently hitting 100 MPH with his fastball. Returning from Tommy John surgery with dominant form, he is shaping up to be a highly sought-after trade target.

FanSided’s Jacob Mountz recently suggested that the Boston Red Sox could emerge as frontrunners if he becomes available. “As of now, Boston has two presumably reliable starters in Crochet and Tanner Houck, along with intriguing arms like Walker Buehler, Brayan Bello, Kutter Crawford, and the returning Lucas Giolito,” Mountz wrote. “Adding Alcantara would not only provide the Red Sox with a new ace but also the rotational depth they sorely lack. Heading into the season, Boston appears to be one of the most motivated teams to make such a move.”

With a deep farm system, the Red Sox have the assets to acquire a controllable ace like Alcantara. Additionally, playing in the American League rather than the National League could make Boston an ideal trade partner for Miami. Pairing Alcantara with Garrett Crochet at the top of the rotation could significantly strengthen the Red Sox’s chances of winning their division—and possibly even contending for a World Series title.
