One Green Bay Packers player has been active on the recruiting road early in the NFL offseason. Cornerback Keisean Nixon has been outspoken in his efforts to get some elite players to Green Bay ahead of the 2025 NFL season. His current target is Maxx Crosby, a defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Nixon took to social media to urge Crosby to swap the Silver and Black for Green and Gold next season. The 27-year-old quote tweeted a story from Packers reporter Eli Berkovits, who was discussing a rumor from NFL source Ian Rapoport that said Crosby may be interested in joining the Packers because to his acquaintance with several members of the team.
Nixon recognized an opportunity to try to attract Crosby to Lambeau Field and did not back down, while also taking a shot at the Raiders in the process.
“[Maxx Crosby] Come Be Great With A Real Team, My Boi…” Nixon wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Crosby is under contract until the 2026 season. He has a cap hit of $27.9 million in 2025 and $24.8 million in 2026. With the Raiders appearing to be years away from contending for a Super Bowl, it is possible that Crosby will try to leave in pursuit of greater pastures this summer.
The Packers make sense as a landing point, too, and Nixon is determined to get the star edge rusher to Green Bay. He also contacted former Packers, Jets, and Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams with a similar message.
“Yo [Davante Adams] pull bac up,” Nixon wrote on X.
An offseason in which the Packers acquired Adams and Crosby would be a huge success as they strive to become serious competitors in the NFC. It remains to be seen whether Nixon’s recruitment powers will be sufficient to accomplish this.
