Bills Announcement for Ravens Game Has Fans Buzzing

The Buffalo Bills may need every advantage possible to overcome the Baltimore Ravens in this weekend’s divisional-round playoff game, even wearing fortunate colors.

On Wednesday, the team revealed that they would be wearing their successful uniform color combination of blue jersey tops and white slacks, along with a white helmet. The Bills are running back in the same color scheme they wore in last week’s wild-card victory against the Denver Broncos and have worn seven times this season.

As Tommy Gallagher of WGRZ in Buffalo pointed out last week, the Bills had worn the blue tops and white pants combination seven times throughout the regular season, with remarkable success. All seven regular-season games—eight, including last week’s game against the Broncos—were played at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, and the Bills won all eight.

The Bills have had other memorable moments in that color scheme. The Bills donned blue tops and white pants for their only other postseason matchup with the Ravens, a 17-3 victory in the 2021 divisional round that sent them to the AFC title game.

The Bills’ color combination revelation sparked some excitement among fans, with others citing their recent and previous success in that color scheme.

“The winning combo!!!” one fan responded to the team’s post displaying the colors.

“Looks like a winning combo to me,” said another. “Go Bills”

Bills Ready for a Showdown

The Bills and Ravens are evenly matched going into Sunday’s game, with ESPN’s Matchup Predictor giving the Bills a 50.3% probability to win and Baltimore’s 49.7%. The teams have previously met this season, with the Ravens prevailing 35-10, one of Buffalo’s worst losses in years.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen told reporters this week that the squad learned some lessons from the blowout loss.

“I learned a lot from those moments,” Allen added. “Looking back, it was clear that we didn’t give it our all. It felt like we didn’t play our best football. However, they have a really good team. “They are playing this week for a reason.”

Allen noted that the Bills are rightfully concerned about a Ravens team that has won five straight games, erasing a deficit against the Pittsburgh Steelers to win the AFC North and then rolling to a wild-card victory over their division rivals.

“Their defense, the last really 10 weeks has been superb,” Allen was saying. “They have a terrific offensive as well. They have a lot of studs over there, led by Lamar [Jackson], and they’re a tough team to play against.”

The game will also include both MVP hopefuls, Allen and Jackson. Von Miller, a Bills edge rusher, said it should provide fantastic entertainment for NFL fans.

“It’s a battle of two heavyweights,” Miller explained. “This is why the NFL is the greatest league in the world, because you get match ups like this, and you get quarterbacks like this going against each other.”

A win would return the Bills to the AFC Championship Game for the first time since the 2020 season.
