The college football world is currently in the midst of a recruiting dead period, meaning that Georgia football and Kirby Smart can’t host recruits on campus at the moment. With visits off the table, recruits are using this time to reflect on their recruitments and narrow down their top schools.
In the coming weeks, many recruits will announce their top programs, and Georgia recently received some positive news from one of the top wide receivers in the country.
4-star WR Davion Brown
Georgia football recently received some good news in the recruitment of 4-star wide receiver Davion Brown from Richmond, VA. According to 247Sports, Brown is ranked No. 151 overall and No. 21 among wide receivers in the 2026 class. He recently announced his top five schools, which include Georgia, along with Duke, Syracuse, Michigan, and Penn State.
Brown has also scheduled four official visits for this summer, including one to Georgia on June 13. He’s already shown strong interest in the Bulldogs, visiting Athens just a week after receiving an offer on January 12. This quick visit highlights his excitement about Georgia. While it’s unlikely there will be any major updates until after these visits, it seems like Georgia has a strong chance in this recruitment. Hopefully, Kirby Smart and his staff can seal the deal.
