Georgia Kirby Smart Confirms Out-standing Recruitment Update Regarding Junior Day

Georgia football held their final major recruiting event of the offseason on February 1, as Kirby Smart and his staff hosted the last Junior Day before the recruiting dead period. Junior Days are highly anticipated events during the offseason, drawing recruits from all over the country, and this past weekend’s event was no exception.

The Bulldogs were confirmed to have hosted 32 players, although that number could have been higher with some last-minute additions. While hosting such a large group is significant, it only matters if Georgia can impress the recruits. Although it can be hard to assess the full impact, a well-known recruiting insider shared that Georgia had a very successful Junior Day, stating, “Georgia setting the bar for several weekend visitors.”

Georgia’s Junior Day was a big hit

Steve Wiltfong, Vice President of On3, is a highly respected recruiting insider, known for his deep knowledge of recruiting and how top players and programs are progressing. His insights carry significant weight in the recruiting world, especially when it comes to the top players.

When Wiltfong mentions that Georgia set the bar high for many of the recruits at their Junior Day, it should excite Georgia fans. While the post doesn’t provide specifics about individual recruits, it’s worth noting that out of the 32 players Georgia hosted, 15 were four-star prospects. This suggests that Wiltfong’s comment is likely aimed at these high-caliber recruits.

It remains to be seen whether Georgia will secure commitments from these players, but Wiltfong’s endorsement is certainly a positive sign for the program and its recruiting efforts.
