UCF Lands Speedy Breaking News: Playmaker Over Colorado, Michigan State and Ole Miss

With 17 touchdowns and over 1,300 receiving yards as a junior, he’s clearly a playmaker, and his commitment speaks volumes about the Knights’ growing recruiting pull in the Sunshine State. It’s no small feat to beat out schools like Colorado, Michigan State, and Ole Miss, especially with Deion Sanders and the Buffs reportedly high on him.

Sean Beckton’s return to the UCF staff seems to be paying off already. He’s got deep ties in Florida and knows how to develop talent — and it looks like Wortham bought into that vision. His speed and production could make him an early contributor once he gets to Orlando, especially with UCF looking to solidify their presence in the Big 12.

Wortham’s stock might only keep rising too. If he builds on that junior season, don’t be surprised if more big-name programs come knocking — but UCF has him locked in early.

Exactly — this is the kind of player Scott Frost thrives with. Tyren Wortham fits the exact mold Frost used to build that electric 2017 UCF squad: fast, versatile, and dangerous in space. Guys like Tre’Quan Smith, Otis Anderson, and Adrian Killins were game-changers in that offense, and Wortham has that same game-breaking potential — especially with his track background.

Frost is clearly trying to recapture that blueprint, and landing a guy like Wortham shows he’s already on the right path. Florida’s loaded with speed, and if Frost can consistently pull in guys like this, UCF will be back in the national conversation sooner than people think — especially in the Big 12, where explosive playmakers can swing entire seasons.

If Wortham keeps developing, he could be that dude in Frost’s offense.
