Buffalo Bills tight end has faced significant setbacks over the past year. He recently suffered a torn Achilles tendon during training and will require surgery. He joined the Bills on a reserve/futures contract on Jan. 17, during their playoff run. Unfortunately, this marks his second Achilles tear since entering the NFL in 2022 while on the Eagles’ practice squad.
Meanwhile, the Bills made a key decision regarding another tight end , opting not to tender Quintin Morris, allowing him to become a free agent when the league year begins on March 12.
Rogers is the son of former linebacker Sam Rogers, who was drafted by Buffalo in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft and started 79 of 101 games for the team from 1994 to 2000. Armani Rogers, who played high school football in Los Angeles, was a dual-threat quarterback at UNLV and Ohio University. In 2017, he earned Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year honors after throwing for 1,471 yards and six touchdowns while adding 780 rushing yards and eight scores.

Over his college career, Rogers accounted for 45 total passing and rushing touchdowns in 35 games. He is currently one of four tight ends on the Bills’ 2025 roster, alongside Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, and Zach Davidson. However, with Morris not being retained, Buffalo’s plans to strengthen its tight end depth may need to be reassessed.
