LATEST: Bills Strengthen Josh Allen’s Weaponry With Standout Star

Suggesting that the Buffalo Bills—who boasted one of the league’s top offenses last season, led by eventual NFL MVP Josh Allen—need more playmakers might seem surprising. However, given the current makeup of their offense, that’s exactly the case. To bolster their receiving corps, the Bills signed Josh Palmer in free agency, providing Allen with a deep-threat option alongside Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox. But is that enough? Apparently not.

In his latest mock draft for NFL.com, former player Maurice Jones-Drew projects Buffalo selecting Ohio State standout Emeka Egbuka. “The Bills enhance the supporting cast around reigning MVP Josh Allen by adding a receiver with a high football IQ, sharp route-running skills, and the toughness to secure contested catches downfield,” Jones-Drew writes.

Egbuka is coming off a strong season, racking up 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he enters the NFL prepared to make an immediate impact. With elite ball-tracking ability, he consistently converts opportunities into receptions. While he isn’t known for blazing speed from the slot, his combination of solid pace and precise route running makes him a challenging matchup for defenses.

His skill set would be a great fit in Buffalo, though the Bills would need several teams to pass on him for him to be available at their pick. If he is, pairing Egbuka with Coleman would give Allen two young targets to develop with. While the Bills do have defensive needs, adding another offensive weapon for their MVP quarterback is always a wise move.
