Just In: Kings Confirms Major Injury Setback Regarding Two Key Stars Ahead Of Pacers Game

The Sacramento Kings hit the road to take on the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Sacramento has struggled recently, losing seven of their last ten games, including a blowout defeat to the Orlando Magic. Their recent slump has dropped them to 10th place in the Western Conference, just one and a half games ahead of the Phoenix Suns for the final Play-In spot. They’ll aim to bounce back against a Pacers squad that has been in great form, winning seven of their last ten matchups. However, the Kings will be shorthanded for this game, as both Devin Carter and Jake LaRavia have been ruled out.

Carter will miss Monday’s game due to a right shoulder contusion sustained during Saturday’s loss to the Magic. This comes after he recently sat out with an illness, and with his latest setback, Markelle Fultz is expected to take on a larger role off the bench. Meanwhile, LaRavia has been ruled out with a bone contusion in his left thumb, which will keep him sidelined for at least three more games. In his absence, Trey Lyles should see an expanded bench role. On the Pacers’ side, they will also be without two key players, as both Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson have been ruled out.

Mathurin will be sidelined for a second straight game due to left calf soreness, allowing Ben Sheppard to take on a larger role off the bench. Meanwhile, Jackson remains out for the season after suffering a torn Achilles earlier in the year. Fans can tune in to Monday’s matchup between the Kings and Pacers at 7:00 p.m. EST.
