Just In: Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Sends Strong Message to Jerry Jones

The Dallas Cowboys made Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb two of the highest-paid players at their respective positions last offseason. Now, attention has turned to Micah Parsons, who has had an outstanding start to his career. However, contract negotiations with the star linebacker don’t appear to be going as smoothly as expected at the moment.

Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Rips Jerry Jones, Calls Him “Disrespectful” Amid Contract Negotiations

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been directly negotiating with Micah Parsons on a contract extension, offering him a deal that would make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, according to Clarence Hill Jr.

Here’s the twist: The Cowboys have conducted all negotiations without Parsons’ agent and haven’t been in communication with him since the combine. Parsons has made it clear he will not sign any deal without his agent’s approval, which is the smart move in this situation.

However, Cowboys beat reporter Clarence Hill Jr. took issue with Jerry Jones’ comments, particularly when Jones said, “The agent is not a concern here … I don’t know his name.” Hill pointed out that David Mulugheta, Parsons’ agent, is one of the best and most respected agents in the NFL, and he believes Parsons was wise to have hired him.

Parsons himself sided with Hill and his agent, further showing his support for Mulugheta and emphasizing the importance of having professional representation in contract talks.
