Despite the victory, the Bruins were officially eliminated from playoff contention following a Canadiens win over the Flyers. It’s the first time Boston has missed the postseason since 2016. The team acknowledged his achievement on X, posting, “WINS FOR ,” alongside a graphic highlighting his “100 WINS” accomplishment.
He became just the 10th goaltender in Bruins history to reach 100 career wins, accomplishing the feat in his 187th NHL game. “It feels incredible—just unbelievable,” Swayman said after helping the Bruins end a 10-game losing streak. “It’s like a huge weight lifted off all our shoulders. It’s rewarding to go through a tough stretch and come out feeling confident in our game again. It was great to see the Garden buzzing—that’s something we’ve missed, and we don’t want to lose that feeling again.”
Interim head coach Joe Sacco praised Swayman’s resilience and consistent preparation despite the recent slump, during which Swayman went 0-7-0. “He bailed us out multiple times tonight and gave us a chance to win,” Sacco said. “He’s been battling, and his preparation never falters.”

With the win, Swayman improved his season record to 21-28-6, carrying a 3.08 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage. Over his 187-game career, he holds a .911 save percentage and a 2.56 GAA.
