The quarterback confirmed that the injury was new.
Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, is unsure whether he will be able to participate in the Pro Bowl on February 2 due to an injury received in the Bills’ 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
“I got a little banged-up hand right now—a wrist,” Allen stated at his season-ending press conference on Monday, according to Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. “So, I’ve got to talk to the doctors right now and work it out. But we shall see.”
The quarterback’s hand was wrapped as he spoke to reporters.

When the “brand new” injury occurred, “it was just right at the goal line” during Sunday’s AFC Championship game. “The two-point play before halftime, got crunched up a little bit,” he informed me. “I was able to finish the game with just some swelling and stuff today.”
Allen stated that he intends to rest and recover throughout the offseason before returning to work.
“Get away, let the body heal,” he said. “Got bumps and bruises from last night, took a few shots, and just trying to make sure that my body’s in as good [a] condition as it can be—giving maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work,” he told the news crew.
But if that plan includes flag football on Sunday remains to be seen.
