BREAKING: Phillies Blockbuster Trade Lands $313 Million Superstar In League-Altering Trade

The Boston Red Sox could be facing a dilemma. After signing star infielder Alex Bregman last week, reports suggest that current third baseman Rafael Devers is unhappy about moving to designated hitter to make room for Bregman. While it’s not a certainty, there is a growing possibility that Devers could request a trade if the situation isn’t handled properly.

According to FanSided’s Christopher Kline, the Philadelphia Phillies could be a potential landing spot if Boston decides to move Devers. “It seems more likely that Philly would pursue a major addition next offseason, but with Dave Dombrowski at the helm, you can never rule out a big move,” Kline wrote. “The Phillies are competing with Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York in a highly competitive National League, and adding Devers to a lineup featuring Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner, and Bryce Harper would strengthen their case as a top-tier contender.”

Philadelphia has reportedly explored options for both Bregman and trade target Nolan Arenado. Additionally, the Phillies have been open to trading All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm, which could be part of a potential return for Devers. However, questions remain about whether their farm system has enough depth to make a deal feasible.
