It was a solid year for the Florida Gators under head coach Billy Napier, who led the team to an 8-5 record—Florida’s first winning season since 2020—and a convincing 33-8 victory over Tulane in the Gasparilla Bowl. Still, there’s always room to grow, and Napier has kept Florida aggressive on the recruiting trail.
The Gators’ 2025 recruiting class is shaping up well, currently ranked No. 7 in the SEC and No. 10 nationally by On3. Despite most top recruits already being committed at this stage of the cycle, Florida added another piece with the commitment of cornerback out of Miami.
This is a major win for Florida, as top star is considered a high-level prospect in the 2025 class. According to the On3 industry rankings, he is a four-star recruit, ranked No. 18 in Florida, the No. 16 cornerback nationally, and the No. 120 overall player in the country.
Billy Napier and the Gators had to fend off serious competition to land him, with schools like Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, Auburn, North Carolina, and Tennessee all extending offers.
Flowers now joins an already impressive Florida recruiting class that features five-star wide receiver Vernell Brown III, four-star cornerback Ben Hanks III, four-star safety Hylton Stubbs, and four-star EDGE rusher Jayden Woods.
