The Clippers are allegedly unwilling to include an additional first-round selection or Terance Mann in a James Harden trade, increasing the likelihood that he will be a Sixer on opening night.
As trade talks between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers continue, the chance of James Harden opening the season with the Sixers grows, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Insiders believe Harden will stay with his present team because the two sides look to have significant differences in their discussions. The Clippers’ first offer, which hasn’t changed, included expiring contracts (Robert Covington and Marcus Morris), an unprotected first-round selection, and a future pick swap.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the negotiation sides are at odds about the inclusion of Terrance Mann and the necessity of including an additional first-round draft pick.
The Clippers, believing they are the sole competitors for Harden, are cautious to make proposals without competition.
With both teams engaged in negotiations, the thought of James Harden preparing for the 76ers’ season opening against the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 26 at Fiserv Forum should come as no surprise.
