Oregon State have completed another signing after Spanish guard committed to the Beavers.
Since losing eight players to the transfer portal in April, OSU has rebuilt its roster with a large infusion of overseas talent. Four of the six prospects that committed to Oregon State this spring have overseas links.
Vecina played at Elite Sports Academy, the same club as future OSU colleague Lucia Navarro. Vecina is on the tryout list for Spain’s Under-18 EuroBasket team.
Oregon State’s roster for the 2024-25 season currently sits at 11. Despite having four scholarship slots, the Beavers are likely to continue with their current 11-player lineup unless a surprise late change occurs. Women’s basketball teams can have up to 15 scholarship players.
The roster for next year contains five players from last season’s Elite Eight, including two senior starters, guard AJ Marotte and forward Kelsey Rees.
