Just days before the Reese’s Senior Bowl kicks off in Mobile, Alabama, two of Georgia’s top offensive linemen have made headlines—but not for reasons fans expected. Two major key cogs in the Bulldogs’ dominant trenches, have officially pulled out of the annual NFL Draft showcase, per Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy.
The event, slated for February 1 on NFL Network, is a crucial stop for NFL hopefuls, featuring elite prospects in practices, interviews, and a final showdown between the National and American Teams. But Ratledge and Wilson’s names were missing when the rosters dropped Monday, leaving scouts buzzing with questions.
Ratledge, a 6’6”, 320-pound powerhouse, was a staple on Georgia’s offensive line, earning First-Team All-America honors in 2024 despite battling back from ankle surgery mid-season. He’s currently pegged as ESPN’s No. 4 guard in the draft class. Wilson, the Bulldogs’ rock-solid center, stepped up in a big way after waiting in the wings behind Sedrick Van Pran-Granger (now with the Bills). The 6’3”, 310-pound bruiser snagged Second-Team All-SEC honors even while managing a foot injury.
So why the sudden exit? While specifics are scarce, sources suggest both are prioritizing recovery and prep for the NFL Combine—smart moves for players already high on draft boards. Scouts may miss the extra reps, but these Dawgs have nothing left to prove.
Stay tuned. The draft journey is just heating up.
