Commitment: Another Top Player Has Committed to Beavers

Oregon State has signed another guard to their 2024-25 roster, as in-state product Tiara Bolden returns to the Beaver State after playing at Eastern Arizona and La Salle.

Bolden is from Eugene and graduated from Churchill High School. She will finish her undergraduate career at Oregon State. As a junior, she averaged 8.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and slightly more than one steal per game for the Explorers. Bolden concluded the year with four double-figure scoring games in her last five games, including a career-high 25 points to help the team defeat Fordham.

“Tiara is a dynamic and versatile guard who contributes to the game in a variety of ways.” “She is a disruptive defender with the potential to score at the rim or over the top,” remarked head coach Scott Rueck. “I have enjoyed getting to know her and her family, and I’m happy that she chose finish her career at Oregon State.”

“The reason why I chose Oregon State was because this is where I fell in love with basketball,” Bolden stated. “The staff and community greeted me with open arms, as if I had been a member of their family! In a full circle moment, I realized this was where I wanted to complete my academic career.”

Last season, La Salle faced three power conference opponents, with Bolden putting in great performances each time. The then-junior recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds against Virginia, 12 points on 3-of-3 three-point shooting against Villanova, and six points against Rutgers.

Bolden played at Eastern Arizona before joining the Explorers, where she started 25 games and averaged 9.1 points and 4.7 rebounds. She was named ACCAC Player of the Week after grabbing 27 rebounds in two wins for the Monsters.

Bolden is Oregon State’s second in-state athlete, joining sophomore guard Kennedie Shuler. She is the Beavers’ third addition for 2024-25.
