Auburn Recruiting News

Auburn is pursuing a former SEC commitment.

Finding pure defensive tackles, or individuals with the size to play along the defensive line’s interior, would be a crucial component of Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class. According to On3 journalist Chad Simmons, a probable contender has recently decommitted from Mississippi State.

He stated on X that “DL Jeramiah McCleod has decommitted from Mississippi State.” Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and USC are among the schools to keep an eye on, according to the most recent data.

McCleod is a 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive tackle from Havana (Fla.), Gadsden County. McCleod’s offer list is remarkable, with him rated as a 4-star by Rivals and ESPN and a 3-star by On3 and 247 Sports.

In addition to Auburn, McCleod has received offers from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Miami, Louisville, LSU, and Colorado.

The team that is trending with him is Florida, and McCleod is scheduled to make an official visit to Gainesville on June 7. Let’s see if Auburn receives an official visit from McCleod. That is the next stage.

Also of note is 2026 Auburn recruit Kail Ellis, who won the offensive lineman prize at the Rivals Atlanta camp.

He attended Cass (Ga.) High School and is regarded as one of the nation’s top interior offensive line prospects. He will most likely play center for the Tigers when he debuts on the Plains.
