SAINTS and PUMA have signed a multi-year agreement that will see the sportswear brand become the club’s official clothing partner.
The next 2024-25 season will be the first time the team has collaborated with PUMA in its 138-year history.
PUMA will provide playing kits for all club teams, including the men’s and women’s first teams, as well as the academy, under a four-year agreement.
This will also contain all training and replica apparel. This summer will see the release of all next season’s kits, as well as training and travel apparel and accessories.
Saints CEO Phil Parsons said: “We’re excited to announce this new long-term partnership with PUMA.
“It was critical for us to find a partner who could not only supply bespoke kits that were consistent with our strong character, but also produce a high-quality assortment of merchandise for our supporters.
“We look forward to working closely with PUMA on a wide variety of projects over the coming years in order to build upon the success we are having as a club, both on and off the pitch.”
An announcement was originally promised during Tuesday’s match versus Coventry City.
Fans with keen eyes will have noticed clues on social media leading up to the match, as well as a few buried within St Mary’s.
PUMA also designed a one-of-a-kind set of football boots that were worn by Saints standout and PUMA Athlete Adam Armstrong throughout the game.
The boots will now be auctioned off for one fan to win, with all proceeds going to the Southampton Foundation. The footwear will be available for bidding through the club’s auction website.
Bas van den Bemt, managing director of PUMA UKI, stated, “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with such a prominent club as Southampton for the first time.
“We’re thrilled to be joining the team on their return to the top tier of English football.
“Partnering with a forward-thinking club like the Saints matches our identity and strategy for the future.”
