AC Milan is likely to add a defensive midfielder this summer, and numerous players have been linked with the club.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg’s agent has reportedly offered him to the Rossoneri team.
Milan has struggled to cover defensive midfield this season, frequently playing with an offensive midfield combination. The situation has improved since Ismael Bennacer’s recovery, but later today, Yacine Adli and Tijjani Reijnders will be together.
As a result, the Rossoneri are anticipated to strengthen that position this summer, with many players connected to the move. Unique Sports Group has offered Tottenham player Højbjerg to the team, as reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com.
The Dane is valued around €20 million, and his contract with Tottenham expires in 2025. A summer exit is imminent, but Milan’s response was frosty because they are now focused on other goals. As Longo points out, Youssouf Fofana of Monaco is a more concrete goal.
Højbjerg’s agency represents Malick Thiaw and Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix. The latter has been heavily associated with Milan in recent months, and possibly a serious attempt will be made.
