Breaking: Milan to replace Theo Hernandez with 19-Year Old-Star

AC Milan will meet Lecce at San Siro tomorrow, and the game could serve as an audition for Patrick Dorgu, considering the Rossoneri’s interest in signing him this summer.

According to this morning’s issue of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), tomorrow’s encounter between Milan and Lecce may be different for him because the Diavolo has been evaluating him for months as a prospective replacement for Theo Hernandez.

It is a role that has mostly gone unnoticed this season, as Pioli moved Alessandro Florenzi to the left, which is not his preferred side because he is right-footed.

The alternative was to try and sign Juan Miranda on a free transfer. Before finalizing the agreement for Filippo Terracciano, the Andalusian club was contacted to see whether Miranda’s arrival might be moved up to January for a nominal cost.

Nothing was finished in response to the Seville-based club’s requests (€4-5 million), and Miranda has now vanished, reportedly due to the commissions demanded, which the Rossoneri management considers too expensive.

Dorgu is one of the first on the list for the summer. Corvino expressed his high regard for Lecce during a meeting with students from the Sports Law and Management department at Unisalento on Wednesday.

“I absolutely cannot say that Dorgu will result in a loss. The club will profit handsomely since it has significant potential, as do many other young footballers in Lecce,” he stated.

According to the newspaper, Lecce would be unlikely to accept a deal for the defender below €10 million.
