Transfer latest: Milan must now convince ‘Incredible’ player to sign

Francesco Camarda will turn 16 this weekend, and AC Milan hopes to sign him to a contract extension shortly, but there is a risk in the background.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), Camarda, who has 12 goals in 29 games for the Primavera this season, is eligible to sign his first professional contract on Sunday, March 10th, when he turns 16.

However, this does not mean he will. Until a few weeks ago, everything indicated that Camarda would easily renew his contract with Milan, but several big teams are interested in signing him, which is not surprising given his numbers.

Milan introduce Francesco Camarda to the world

Inter have inquired and are big fans, but Camarda grew up a Milan fan, so making the transition is nearly impossible. Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham have not only gathered information, but have also dispatched scouts to observe him and have the financial resources to offer him a large contract.

Camarda will be free to sign with whoever he chooses starting Sunday. Meanwhile, Milan intends to offer the 15-year-old a three-year renewal (the maximum allowed for underage players) that will begin on July 1, making it effective until June 2027 rather than 2026.
