Journalist reveals huge star will leave Newcastle United

Newcastle United, who are currently outside the European spots in the Premier League, appear to be in for a busy summer as the club seeks to make significant changes both on and off the pitch. With fresh additions coming, they may come at the expense of a fan favorite on Tyneside.

Newcastle set for massive changes

As the PIF period continues to deliver prosperity to Newcastle, it seems virtually certain that the club will be ready for a major shake-up this summer. Looking to inject some of the money that had been sorely lacking under previous owners, PIF is now aiming to provide transformation in all areas of the club.

This week, ambitious plans were announced to investigate the viability of building a new stadium for the club, with journalist Luke Edwards declaring that “a new stadium is coming for Newcastle United and it could be the real Wembley of the North”.

With football director Dan Ashworth set to leave for Manchester United this summer, PIF will have more challenges to deal with.

Changes in the dugout at St James’ Park also appear to be on the horizon, with current manager Eddie Howe’s situation uncertain and the club looking for prospective candidates.
In terms of on-field recruitment, Newcastle’s transfer strategy will be mainly based on moving existing players.

Newcastle’s CEO, Darren Eales, stated in January that “we must approach everything on a medium-to-long term basis, rather than just being reactive.” “We have to be minded due to PSR and FFP rules that we are compliant.”

With outgoings coming, it appears that one Newcastle player may already have one foot out the door, with Newcastle due for a big payday.

Huge star set to leave Newcastle this summer

Newcastle to reject Bruno Guimaraes bids and plan new deals for key duo

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Bruno Guimaraes is likely to leave St James’ Park this summer.

According to sources at the club, the midfielder’s departure is a “real possibility” by the conclusion of the season.

According to O’Rourke, the reasons for this revelation include “the release clause in his contract, the player’s own personal ambitions, and the financial regulations that Newcastle must circumnavigate behind the scenes,” with the Brazilian’s sale necessary to afford future recruits.

Guimaraes’ contract includes a £100 million release clause, which was included when he signed a new deal in October 2023.

While his departure would be disappointing for Magpies fans, the windfall given might help their team make significant progress in other areas of the football.

Guimaraes, who arrived from Lyon in 2022 for up to £40 million, has been a fan favourite on Tyneside, forming a great relationship with compatriot Joelinton in the center of the park.

The 26-year-old has emerged as a creative force who is unafraid to make a tackle. Guimaraes has already scored four goals and provided three assists this season, contributing significantly to Newcastle’s quest for European football.

Finally, the sale of Guimaraes may be the only way Newcastle can spend the summer without facing financial consequences. If that is the case, Newcastle will get more than fair value for him.
