Arda Güler, initially linked with AC Milan, opted to join Real Madrid instead last summer. Now, eight months later, there’s a possibility he might depart from Real Madrid, with AC Milan once again keeping tabs on his situation.
Güler was a focal point of the transfer saga in the summer of 2023, eventually sealing a €20m move from Fenerbahce to Real Madrid. However, this season, hindered by a few injuries, he has only managed five appearances under Carlo Ancelotti.
Reportedly, Güler desires more playing time, a sentiment understood by Real Madrid. Consequently, they are contemplating a loan move for the 19-year-old to aid his continued development elsewhere.
AC Milan is closely monitoring these developments and could propose a deal similar to the one involving Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid. Given the success of Diaz’s loan spell, there’s a positive rapport between the clubs, potentially giving Milan the upper hand in securing Güler on loan for one or two seasons.
Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio, who showed interest in Güler during the summer, might seize this opportunity once again.
