The Los Angeles Lakers staged a remarkable comeback against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night, overturning a daunting 21-point deficit to secure what could arguably be hailed as their most impressive victory of the season. Conversely, for the Clippers, it marked another setback in what has been a disappointing February.
The NBA has issued its Last Two Minute Report for the game, revealing one missed call in the closing moments. According to the NBA’s assessment, James Harden committed a foul on Anthony Davis during a rebound attempt with 1:38 left on the clock. However, since the Lakers regained possession after Daniel Theis fell out of bounds, the missed call ultimately had no significant impact.
The NBA confirms that all other calls or non-calls in the final two minutes of the game were correctly adjudicated. There appeared to be few notable officiating issues on either side, particularly towards the end, as the Clippers simply faltered independently.
Struggling to contain LeBron James in the fourth quarter, the Clippers allowed him to exploit favorable matchups on nearly every possession. It was a particularly disheartening loss for the Clippers, whose February record now stands at 6-5, a far cry from their dominance in December and January.
