Nathan Jones now face tough decision ahead of Northampton v Charlton Athletic Town clash

The latest Charlton Athletic team news as Nathan Jones’ side prepares to play Northampton Town in League One.
Charlton Athletic’s most recent League One game was a 2-1 victory away to Derby County. Alfie May and Karoy Anderson scored for them at Pride Park.

Jones, Michael Appleton’s replacement, has made a good impression since taking over at The Valley.

The Addicks are striving to avoid relegation to League Two and will be buoyed by their victory over the Rams.

Jones has chosen Harry Isted in goal over Ashley Maynard-Brewer since his appointment.

Tennai Watson and Thierry Small should continue to play on each wing at full-back, as they did in the Derby victory.

Panutche Camara returns in midfield, and January signing Conor Coventry has impressed since joining fellow London club West Ham and appears to be an inspired signing.

Anderson has really found his footing under Jones in recent weeks and appears to have a very bright future in the game.

The new Addicks boss has showed a lot of faith in the young players, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Dan Kanu is given a position in the starting lineup again.

As for the other striking option, it’s a tough pick between Freddie Ladapo, Chuks Aneke, and May, demonstrating Charlton’s depth. Following his goal at Derby, I believe the latter will be given consideration.
