“Shocking”: AC Milan now want to sell these players for €32m

AC Milan’s management is formulating their strategy for the summer transfer window, and part of that approach is based on the budget available, which they intend to increase through sales.

According to this morning’s issue of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the sale of a famous name like Theo Hernandez or Rafael Leao, who are both wanted by Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, cannot be completely ruled out.

However, Geoffrey Moncada expects to get more finances from a Belgian partnership in order to concentrate on upgrading the squad, with the most significant expenditure planned for a future centre-forward.

Atalanta and Bologna will have to make decisions on Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers in the coming weeks and months, as both forwards are on loan with the option to buy.

De Ketelaere has significantly improved in Bergamo, and it may be logical for Atalanta to invest the €22 million plus bonuses required by the option to sign him permanently as per the deal with Milan.

Then they may put their trust in him for another season, hopefully with Champions League qualifying secured, and then sell him for a profit, as appears to be the case with La Dea.

The Saelemaekers situation is more uncertain because he has yet to secure a starting berth. Thus, Bologna must decide whether to invest close to €10 million to sign him permanently. Similarly, Atalanta would benefit from a UCL slot.
