According to SportsLens, Milan are interested in Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres and plan to contact the Portuguese club before the end of the season.
According to the same source, Gyokeres has an £86 million release clause in his contract and is not interested in a move to the Premier League, a major blow to Chelsea.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, several Chelsea executives like the 25-year-old.
His release clause, however, requires them to take out their wallets if they want to sign him.
AC Milan to go head-to-head with Chelsea for Viktor Gyokeres
With both Milan and Chelsea reportedly interested in Gyokeres, it appears that they will compete for his signature during the summer transfer window.
He has been in terrific form this season, already scoring 30 goals. Even said, it does not appear like the Sweden international is at the top of Chelsea’s shortlist just yet.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Chelsea has already prepared a contract for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian appears to be the Blues’ ideal No. 9. If they fail with him, we believe they may begin to seriously explore bringing Gyokeres to Stamford Bridge.
However, everything points to the 25-year-old being Chelsea’s top target heading into the summer transfer season.
Whether it’s Osimhen, Gyokeres, or someone else, it appears like the club will sign a new centre-forward ahead of the 2024/25 season. They have struggled this season, currently lying 11th in the Premier League league, and could need some more firepower in the squad. Perhaps Osimhen or Gyokeres will be the ones to give them just that.
