The Buffalo Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs in each of the last three years by losing in the divisional round. Clearly, the Bills need to do something to get over that barrier.
Brandon Aiyuk To The Buffalo Bills?
The Bills remain a talented team, but their chances of winning the Super Bowl could improve if they can complete a trade proposed by Jarrett Bailey of Touchdown Wire, which would send San Francisco 49ers wideout Brandon Aiyuk to Buffalo in exchange for a 2024 first-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick.
The Bills lack a true receiver, and Aiyuk would step in and be the best player in their offense. Stefon Diggs showed symptoms of fading down the stretch as he had his own slump. After five 100-yard games in the first six weeks of the season, Diggs did not have another such performance for the remainder of the season, with six games with four or less catches and seven games with fewer than 50 yards receiving.
The Bills presently control the 28th pick in the NFL Draft, and if they trade it to the 49ers for Aiyuk, San Francisco will have two late first-round picks.
Because to their runner-up status in the 2023 NFL season, the 49ers have the 31st overall pick in the draft.
The Buffalo Bills would not be such a bad fit for Aiyuk in such a deal, given that the Bills have an exceptional quarterback in Josh Allen. In 2023, the Bills were sixth in the NFL in scoring (26.6 points per game) and tenth in passing yards (238.4 per game).
