If you’ve been flicking through social media today you may have noticed Newcastle United’s Sven Botman has posted a reel to his Instagram.
The 24-year-old defender has signed a new deal, bringing him closer to the Newcastle United family.
Newcastle and Adidas will link up again next season in a massive contract that has already piqued Geordies’ interest, and Adidas, like Newcastle, has moved to sign Sven Botman as well.
Sven Botman has become part of the Adidas Family
Sven’s Instagram reel includes shots of the defender signing the contract, a congratulations from Adidas, and a handful of additional photos of him performing media bits and pieces.
Twitter (X) user @Lisamole graciously screen-captured the photographs and shared them to the Elon Musk cesspit before they vanished from Botman’s social media.
The Newcastle/Adidas family is expanding, and we anticipate that the German sportswear brand will attempt to sign additional Newcastle players before the new partnership begins next season.

Adidas has identified Newcastle as one of their ‘elite’ clubs, which means we won’t be trapped with template jerseys and will be able to proudly wear the classic trefoil logo with our third child.
The enthusiasm surrounding the Adidas contract is palpable; not only would it bring in a large sum of money for the club, but Adidas was the manufacturer of some of Newcastle’s most cherished uniforms of all time.
Subsequent relationships with Puma and Castore never quite captured the magic that we had with Adidas, but both suppliers had their moments. Adidas and Newcastle United just seem to fit together. Let’s hope they nail their first try this summer, otherwise we’ll look dumb.
