Nottingham Forest now encouraged to seal loan deal for PL winger

The latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Jadon Sancho’s future is once again in the headlines

If the standoff with Erik ten Hag persists, Manchester United will attempt to offload Jadon Sancho, who has been linked with Nottingham Forest, in January.

According to the Daily Mail, the manager’s disagreement with the winger remained unsolved after ten Hag stated that he left Sancho out of the squad to face Arsenal last month based on his “performances in training.”

‘Please don’t believe everything you read,’ Sancho responded on social media. I will not tolerate people saying things that are entirely false’. The 23-year-old has not featured since, and reports say he may depart Old Trafford in January, with Forest linked with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

According to the Mail, United are “willing to subsidise his £300,000-a-week wages if they can agree on a loan move for the rest of the season.”

Sancho has a contract until 2027 and, if no agreement is made, might depart permanently at some point, albeit this would be easier to accomplish in the summer rather than the January transfer window.

According to our Manchester Evening News colleagues, Sancho is “open” to joining a new club, with Forest “identified” as a possible alternative. The Financial Times reports that “sources close to the winger believe it may be in Sancho’s best interests to move elsewhere” .

Sancho scored six goals and assisted on three others in 26 Premier League appearances for Manchester United last season. The kid has struggled to replicate his Dortmund form, when he scored 50 goals in 137 games.

If Sancho joins Forest, he will reunite with former United teammate Anthony Elanga, who transferred from Old Trafford to the City Ground for a fee of £15 million this summer.
