Following their struggles at the start of the season, the Chicago Bulls are looking for improved stats in 2023-24. In addition, Zach LaVine and the Bulls have been included in several NBA trade speculations.
According to one story, the Bulls appear to be in disarray as a result of the LaVine trade situation, to the point where they would drive him to the airport if it meant getting him there sooner.
LaVine recently returned from an injury that has halted his trade window, rendering the market for him non-existent because he is also on a maximum contract for the next three seasons.
After missing 17 games due to a foot injury, LaVine returned to the lineup on January 5, and the Bulls have since gone 4-1.
Since his return, he is averaging 16.8 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
“If they could trade Zach LaVine in the next five minutes, they would trade him and Zach would happily go to the airport.”

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, dealing LaVine is the most plausible option for all sides, and neither LaVine nor the Bulls will hesitate in the face of an opportunity.
Speaking on NBA Today, Windhorst stated,
“If they could trade Zach LaVine in the next five minutes, they would do it, and Zach would gladly travel to the airport. I don’t think anything has changed there; I believe they still want to trade him.
According to multiple sources, the Bulls are quite likely to trade the dunk contest champion near or before the deadline.
LaVine, the dunk contest champion, is in his second season of a five-year, $215 million contract and is a player who can contribute significantly to a competitive club.
This season, he averages 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and four assists, and he hopes to average more than 20 points for the sixth straight season.
On the other side, the Bulls are not a contending team, currently sitting at 19-22 and ninth in the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls have not won a postseason series in the seasons LaVine has played, which may explain why he stated that the Bulls need to “restructure their roster.”
