The surprise thing Nottingham Forest player did during Brentford draw

Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos was spotted by Nottingham Forest fans leaving the club’s recent 1-1 game with Brentford early.

According to The Athletic, Forest fans witnessed Andrey Santos leave the substitutes’ bench well before the game’s end.
While there was no malice behind the midfielder’s choice to go, some may have begun to question his decision considering how his loan spell has gone so far.
Santos is yet to appear for Forest in the Premier League, with his only outing this season coming in the Carabao Cup.

Forest will play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park next, where the 19-year-old will be hoping to make his maiden top-flight start.

It’s not entirely surprising that Santos hasn’t strolled directly into Steve Cooper’s starting XI.

The Brazilian is still in his early twenties and has never played in England. He may require some time to adjust.
Having said that, it is frustrating that Santos is not least getting some bench time. That should be the bare minimum; otherwise, why would Forest provide him money?

After seven games, not having played a single minute of Premier League football is a concerning indicator. If his position does not improve, Chelsea will have no choice but to recall him.

Football, on the other hand, is an odd game. All it takes is one chance and one strong performance from the Brazil international to transform this loan spell.
