Liverpool now plot sensational move for €90million rated Milan star

Rafael Leao is the player Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are interested in adding to their offensive options.

The AC Milan star is being pursued by some of the world’s most powerful clubs, including Liverpool.

According to Francois Plateau, the Merseyside club is interested in signing the Portuguese international and may contemplate a player-plus-cash deal that includes Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

According to the writer, Liverpool’s heirarchy believes that the Serie A star is the ideal substitute for their former player Sadio Mane.

Mane departed the club to join German giants Bayern Munich before joining Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Leao, 24, is currently regarded as one of Europe’s hottest properties. In 182 appearances for AC Milan in all competitions, the left-sided attacker has scored 47 goals.

 

 

He joined Milan from French team Lille, and his current deal with the club extends until the summer of 2028.

Liverpool signed Luiz Diaz from Porto, but he has yet to make an impression at the club, and his time in England has also been hampered by injury.

Since joining Liverpool in January 2022, the Colombian international has scored 16 goals and made 69 appearances for the Premier League leaders.

It remains to be seen whether Milan is interested in Diaz as Leao’s replacement, but with five years remaining on Leao’s contract, the Italian club is in a good position.

If Liverpool can recruit Leao, the Reds will be in a solid position to compete for the Premier League and the Europa League in the second half of the season.

Klopp is anticipated to be busy in the transfer market next month in order to address a lot of Liverpool’s difficulties.
